Italian Embassy to launch Fare Cinema 2020 in Tehran

The Italian Embassy in Tehran is set to launch the 3rd edition of “Fare Cinema 2020”, a week-long initiative to promote and celebrate Italian cinema and film industry.

“Fare cinema” is part of a concerted program, which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) has launched to promote Italian quality film production abroad, with the support of the Italian consular and diplomatic network and the Italian Cultural Institutes.

A series of contents (video lessons on the arts of cinema and films) will be available on Italian Embassy’s social media and on RaiPlay streaming platform (www.raiplay.it).

Furthermore, during the week, three special master classes will be aired to celebrate the “International Day of Italian Cinema” (June 20) and the 100th anniversary of birth of two iconic masters of Italian cinema: Federico Fellini and Alberto Sordi.

This year, due to the COVID-19 emergency, the event will be held in a digital-only format: every day, from June 15 to June 21, 2020.
